"Believe that remaining strong and faithful to the truths of the gospel is of utmost importance. I testify that it is! ...You have been withheld until this very hour. Wonderful, glorious things are in store for you if you will only believe, obey, and endure." - President Thomas S. Monson

Aaronic Priesthood Commemoration/Pioneer Trek Training Hike - Sat., June 18th

Aaronic Priesthood Commemoration/Pioneer Trek Training Hike, Saturday, May 18th from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. All youth (12-18) are invited as well as their leaders. Youth leader participation is important as we will be carpooling to the Trail Head (at the top of East Canyon/Emigration Canyon – about 11 miles from our stake). ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE TO MEET AT THE STAKE CENTER BY 8:30 AM.

The hike is from Big Mountain Pass to the peak of Big Mountain. There is a gain of 1,000 ft and the Peak is 8,500 ft in altitude. It is a vigorous but not an overly difficult or technical hike of around 5 miles. It looks to be perfect weather but bring a light jacket and a poncho if it looks like rain at all. Every hiker needs to bring a lunch and plenty of water for the trail.

Interested adult Stake members are also welcome.
